Well I don’t know about you readers, but I’m already heading to my local picture house to demand a ticket for Yasuharu Hasebe’s third and final instalment in the Stray Cat Rock franchise, and the fact this is neither 1970 nor Tokyo be damned.
I haven't seen her Straycat series. I bought all four Scorpion DVDs. Fantastic film making. The style, imagination and quality towers over similar American fare.

ReplyDeleteThe SCR films don't bring anything like the same level of imagination & way out craziness - they're just easy-going youth / biker movies really - but they're all a lot of fun, and 'Sex Hunter' in particular stands out as a really well made, slightly more serious film - definitely one of my favourites.
